What it is
The Belgian Brewers' federation takes over the Grand-Place for three days at the start of September — around 50 breweries and more than 500 beers, from trappist and lambic to the small regional houses that are hard to find outside their own province. It opens with the procession of the Knighthood of the Brewers' Mashstaff.
